We Care for our Environment

This family owned resort was built in 2007 and is fast becoming a beachfront eco-retreat combining energy efficient operations with its natural surroundings. Apsara has received numerous plaudits for it’s care of local eco-system, even to the point of involving staff and guests in attempting to replant the nearby damaged mangrove forest.

The resort has committed itself to improve the ecological and carbon footprint as a consequence of its operations. As well as the sustainable initiatives practiced within the resort, endangered species such as sea turtles and hermit crabs are protected and guests are encouraged to become involved in their support.

Apsaras’ restaurants use fresh ingredients from its own sizeable organic garden and from local farmers. The resort aims to guide guests towards a lasting sense of well-being through holistic healing and nurturing treatments, as well as medical practices,

We are respectful of the truly remarkable environment in which we operate and protecting the diverse ecosystem around Apsara underpins our every effort. Our dedication to the environment is reflected through our recycling and waste handling operations. Approximately 40% of all waste from the resort is either recycled or deployed for alternative use.

We’re also pleased to have removed all plastic bottles from the resort. We buy fresh water in reusable glass bottles and return the empties to our supplier, saving around 50,000 bottles each year. We use grey water for our organic garden plantation and have also made paper straws available to our guests upon request.

We are always looking for ways to support the local community whilst also protecting the environment . We strive to provide initiatives to involve our guests with supporting local wildlife, replanting trees, and help with weekly beach clean-ups

Mother Nature has bequeathed on human beings some incredibly beautiful gifts. It is therefore now our turn to work towards saving the environment from the challenges that are constantly posed.
